Milky Way Light Pollution

"Light pollution" and "Milky Way" are both abstract concepts, which are more difficult to depict than other concrete objects. Therefore, I chose colour contrast and fuzzy effect to express"light pollution" and "Milky Way" respectively. There are many reasons for light pollution. In the design process, I tried to add buildings to show the light source, but the effect was not good, so the characterization of the light source was finally removed.
 

For this design, I chose to use the ratio of the background colour to represent the '1/3. The contrast between yellow and blue is both consistent with the object represented and very obvious because colour blocks are an easier way to represent fractions intuitively. In order to represent the global population factor, I used the symbolisation and locations of every single person to express the population. Using different hierarchies in design is the simplest way to show proportions and relationships between subjects.
 

In detail, the shadow of the moon and the light increase the reflection, which makes the picture more realistic. In addition, the different action of other characters is also a clever way to reflect the fact.
